


























































"An odd festival in an odd year" The village of Slawit (Slaithwaite) is situated in the Colne Valley, Huddersfield. Every two years the community comes together to celebrate the legend of smugglers being caught in the act sailing barrels of rum along the canal and claiming to be raking the moon out of the water.
